Quick check for monitor screen resolution.

How to find out the resolution of your monitor screen.

Common screen resolutions for computer monitors are :
640 x 480 pixel
800 x 600 pixel
1024 x 768 pixel
1152 x 864 pixel

The first following table block has the size of 100 x 100 pixel. Measure or estimate how often the 100 x 100 pixel table can fit on your monitor screen horizontally ( in the width of the screen).
Then you multiply this number with 100 and you have the screen resolution for the width of the screen.
Accordingly you can find out the screen resolution vertically ( for the height of the screen).

Or you use the larger following table blocks and see which table takes about the half of the screen width.
Then you multiply that table size ( in pixel) by 2 and you have the screen resolution of your monitor in pixel.

100 x 100 pixel

320 x 240 pixel
covers 50% of the screen width on a 640 x 480 pixel monitor

400 x 300 pixel
covers 50% of the screen width on a 800 x 600 pixel monitor

512 x 384 pixel
covers 50% of the screen width on a 1024 x 768 pixel monitor

576 x 432 pixel
covers 50% of the screen width on a 1152 x 864 pixel monitor
